Avalabetta is approximately 100 km from Bangalore via NH44 towards Chikkaballapur, then Gudibande. The journey takes 2–2.5 hours.
Sunrise Trip Plan
Start at midnight (12–1 AM) from Bangalore. Reach Avalabetta base by 2:30 AM. Trek 1.5 hours to the summit. Watch the stunning sunrise (5:30–6:30 AM). Descend and return by afternoon.
Trek Details
The trek is approximately 3 km one-way, rated easy-moderate. The hilltop has a small temple. Carry warm clothes, flashlights, and water. Best visited between October and February.
